Strunk still a suspect, says NBI

-
The National Bureau of Investigation yesterday said Rod Strunk will remain a suspect in the murder of his wife, actress Nida Blanda, for as long as he refuses to undergo a lie detector test.

"I find this very, very unusual even in American culture. If he won’t help and tell us what we need to know, he’ll be treated as a suspect," Wycoco told reporters after a two-hour closed-door conference with investigators.

Wycoco said investigators are puzzled why Strunk seems to be reluctant to cooperate with investigators and undergo a lie detector test.

"He has the right to reject the lie-detector test. But we expected him to exert effort to solve the case. It’s unusual for the husband of a murdered person (to hold back). It would be a big help if he were more forthcoming. We hope he’ll help us in the investigation," he said.

As these developed, the NBI has also gathered additional circumstantial evidence against suspects in the case.

"We now have the suspects. The important thing is to gather enough evidence against them. We have the circumstantial evidence, what we need is corroborating evidence," he said. — Mike
