Russian Roulette kills boy

A 16-year-old boy was killed allegedly playing the deadly game of Russian Roulette in Tondo, Manila, early yesterday morning.
Police identified the victim as Oliver Dizon, of 401-A Perla Street, Tondo, Manila. He sustained a gunshot wound in the forehead.
According to the police, Dizon was celebrating Christmas Day by drinking with a certain "JR" inside a house at the corner of Mel Alcalde and Mata streets in Tondo at about 3 a.m.
Police said that while they were drinking, JR allegedly pulled out a paltik caliber .38 revolver and dared the victim to join him in playing a game of Russian Roulette.
According to police, JR reportedly then removed five of the six bullets from the revolvers chamber. He then spun the chamber and jokingly pointed the gun to the victims forehead.
Suddenly, the gun went off and Dizon fell bloody on the floor. Police said JR immediately fled the scene after the incident. He is now being tracked down by police.
Meanwhile, police and barangay tanods in San Andres Bukid, Manila, arrested a drunken house painter for allegedly stabbing to death a man known in their neighborhood as "Boy Muslim."
Police said Elmer Alib, 20, of 2368 Pasig Line, Sta. Ana, Manila, was walking along Onyx Street when he was chased by the suspect, Johnard Lagrosa, 24, of 2364 Oro B St., San Andres, Manila.
After a brief chase, the suspect caught up with Alib who was stabbed twice in the left side of the body.
Police said the suspect had a "bad trip" after getting drunk and then decided to chase the victim with a knife. Police are now tracking down the suspect.
In Quezon City, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed dead on Christmas Eve reportedly over a fraternity rivalry.
Victim Sherwin Arcangel of 125 Lilac St., Republic Avenue in Barangay West Fairview died before reaching the Fairview General Hospital.
The suspects, identified only as Ramon and Gilbert Germinaz, are now reportedly in hiding.
Police said a fraternity rivalry could have triggered the killing, noting that the incident involved young students.
Initial investigation showed that the incident happened at around 9:45 p.m. Arcangel, a first year high school student, was walking along Lilac Street with his friends when the suspects came up from behind and attacked his group.
Witnesses told investigators that the Germinazes drew out bladed weapons and one of them stabbed the victim in the chest.
Arcangel was taken to the hospital by his friends but was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physicians.
Police are conducting further investigation to determine the motive of the young suspects.
