Two persons, including a fireman, were injured in a fire that gutted a Chinese restaurant in San Juan Friday night.
Injured were FO1 Conrad Tan of the San Juan Fire Department and one Roland Villafuerte. They suffered wounds caused by glass splinters from a glass window broken by the firefighters to fight the fire.
Investigation showed that the fire broke out at Chopsticks Restaurant along Wilson street, Barangay Greenhills in San Juan at around 10:45 p.m. last Friday.
Arson probers could not immediately establish the cause of the fire but witnesses claimed that smoke was seen billowing from an exhaust in the kitchen of the restaurant.
A Christmas party was reportedly going on at the restaurant when the fire broke but the people were able to immediately go out of the establishment. Sheila Crisostomo
