A 43-year-old housewife was killed while another woman was injured when a car ran right into them the other night in Makati City.
Based on the report of SPO1 Mike Descalzo, the two women were walking along the sidewalk of Kalayaan Avenue in Makati at around 9:50 p.m. the other night when the incident took place.
The ill-fated vehicle, a Toyota Corolla sedan with plate number PTL-663 driven by Darvin Alonso, 26, married and resident of Antipolo City, was traveling along Kalayaan Avenue from the C-5 Road headed towards Lawton Avenue.
Upon reaching the Kalayaan Village area, the car suddenly veered to its right and went straight up to the sidewalk, hitting the two pedestrians.
Descalzo identified the two victims as Susalina Cabana, 43, married and Pasencia Durango, 57, married, a midwife, both residents of West Rembo, Makati City.
The two women were immediately taken to the Makati Medical Center by a taxi driver.
