The Metro Manila Council has deferred the endorsement of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Expressway project of the Department of Public Works and Highways upon the request of Parañaque City Mayor Joey Marquez.
Godofredo Galano of the DPWH went to the MMC meeting yesterday expecting the endorsement to Malacañang of the project after a brief presentation but was instead reprimanded by the mayors for the departments failure to conduct consultations with the local government units affected.
The project was described as urgent in light of the impending completion of the NAIA Terminal-3 as well as its inclusion in the Metro Manila Urban Transport Integration Study. Marvin Sy
