No conviction

There was no conviction.
The Pasay City regional trial court (RTC) denied yesterday that a 67-year-old woman has been convicted in a drug case. Efforts by The STAR to verify a report Sunday that a certain Rafina Lovima had been convicted yielded negative results as staffers of Pasay RTC Judge Porfirio Macaraeg denied the promulgation. It was impossible to verify the report on a Sunday, being a non working day.
According to a staffer of Judge Macaraeg, the court has not yet even started hearing the defenses evidence and only the prosecution has finished its presentation of proof. "It is still pending, there was no such promulgation," said the court staffer. Jose Aravilla
