A 35-year-old Muntinlupa woman, who was eight-month pregnant, allegedly killed herself by hanging after learning that her husband was having an affair, the police said yesterday morning.
Police Officer 3 Arnel Pesigan, investigator-on-case, identified the victim as Aida de Saba, housewife, and resident of PNR Site, Purok 6, Barangay Bayanan, Muntinlupa.
De Sabas body was found by her mother-in-law Eufemia, 62, hanging from a nylon cord tied around her neck at around 6 a.m.
Investigators said that the victim and her husband, Efren, had a fight the previous night over Efrens alleged extra-marital affair. The fight ended when Efren stormed out of the house.
Probers are conducting further investigation to make sure that no "foul play" was involved in Aidas death.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old taxi driver was stabbed dead by a unidentified man after they engaged in a duel in Barangay Damayan, Quezon City Sunday.
Victim Angelito Baydoy, of Villa Luna, Caloocan City, sustained at least 18 stab wounds in the body and was pronounced dead at the St. Agnes Hospital.
