Worker falls to death

A 34-year-old construction worker fell to his death the other day after he stepped on a banana peel and slipped from the 21st floor of an unfinished building in Quezon City.
Victim Arnulfo Genorio, a resident of Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City, sustained broken bones, a fatal wound in his abdomen from an iron bar he landed on and was pronounced dead on arrival at the East Avenue Medical Center.
Initial investigation showed that the accident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. at the construction site of the Olympic tower building on Tomas Morato street. According to PO2 Rogelio Esteves, the victim was going about his work on the 21st floor of the building when he stepped on the peeling of a banana he had just eaten for lunch.
