Elements of the Western Police Districts Mobile Patrol Unit recovered in Caloocan City yesterday morning 500 sacks of rice which were earlier hijacked in Tondo, Manila
According to reports, the sacks of rice were being transported to the Manila Port Area from Baliuag, Bulacan, when the 10-wheeler truck bearing the cargo was hijacked as it cruised along Abad Santos street at about 4 a.m.
Reports said the WPD-Mobile Patrol Unit then responded and tracked-down the truck just minutes later to a warehouse in Area B in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City where they also arrested three suspects identified as Jerry Solong, Alex Paga, and Rogelio Tuazon.
As of late yesterday afternoon, elements of the WPD-Mobile Patrol Unit are still conducting follow-up operations to arrest the other suspects. Mike Frialde
