Boy kills playmate with fathers air rifle in QC

An innocent play time turned tragic after an 11-year-old boy accidentally shot dead Wednesday afternoon his five-year-old male cousin in Valenzuela City.
Investigation showed that the incident happened at around 1:30 p.m. while the cousins were playing in their house on Valeriano St., Barangay Balangkas.
The older boy allegedly took his fathers air rifle and played with it. Reports indicated that the gun accidentally went off, hitting Allan in the right shoulder, the pellet exiting his lower back.
The victim was rushed to the Polo Emergency Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physicians.
The elder cousin was voluntarily surrendered by his mother to the police. She turned over the air rifle to the authorities, as well. Nikko Dizon and Jerry Botial
