Fresnedi wins Sandugo plum

For the third consecutive year, Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi was awarded the prestigious Sandugo Outstanding Local Government Executive Award by the National Voluntary Blood Services Program of the Department of Health for his efforts in effectively implementing the voluntary blood donation drive in his locality.
The Muntinlupa city government also took home four other awards, including the Sandugo Outstanding Award for a local government unit and the Sandugo Kabalikat Award for Organizations, which was received by the Muntinlupa Polytechnic College. The others are the Sandugo Masigasig and Mapanghikayat awards for the Muntinlupa City Health Office which was represented by Magdalena Meana.
The award bestowed on Fresnedi was handed by Health Undersecretary Ma. Margarita Galon in behalf of DOH Secretary Manuel Dayrit during the First Zonal Sandugo Recognition and Awarding Ceremonies at the World Trade Center. The awarding rites were also held in celebration of Blood Donation Month.
Fresnedi thanked the DOH for recognizing Muntinlupas efforts in promoting and spearheading the city-wide campaign in ensuring ample supply of donated blood. He said the city officials and employees regularly participate in the bloodletting programs of the Muntinlupa City Blood Council and the CHO.
Fresnedi first received the Sandugo award in 1999, followed by the one in 2000.
