Agents of the Philippine National Police-Narcotics Group (PNP-NG) bagged a suspected Chinese drug trafficker in a sting operation in Valenzuela City over the weekend.
PNP chief, Director General Leandro Mendoza, said Saturdays anti-drug operation also resulted in the seizure of three kilos of shabu worth P6 million from the Chinese suspect.
Superintendent Pepito Domantay of the PNP-Narcotics Group identified the arrested suspect as Le Zhehong, 31, of No. 137 Carmen Planas street, Binondo.
Domantay said Zhehong was nabbed while receiving P1.5 million in boodle money in exchange for three kilos of shabu he had sold to undercover policemen at Hiyas Subdivision, Valenzuela City at about 5:30 p.m. last Saturday.
Tagged as among the big-time Binondo-based drug traffickers, the suspect was lured into a police trap after he initially sold a gram of shabu in a test buy conducted by police anti-narcotics undercover men in Sta. Cruz, Manila. Jaime Laude
