NCCA execs back Laya

Nine out of the 15 commissioners of the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) have recently expressed their support for the reelection of Jaime Laya as chairman of the NCCA.
The endorsement came last June 27 in a petition addressed to President Arroyo signed by the nine members, citing the leadership and performance of Laya.
"Considering the quality of Laya’s leadership and performance as chairman, members of the board have indicated their support for his reelection. We pray that your Excellency’s Good Office shall support the final choice of the Board for the chairmanship as provided for in the NCCA charter."
The board members who support Laya are Ramon Santos, Rodrigo Cornejo, Romeo dela Cruz Jr., Adoracion Mendoza, Armita Rufino, Sen. Tessie Aquino-Oreta, Rosalina Concepcion, Virgilio Almario and Fr. Gabriel Casal, director of the National Museum.
