Agents of the Bureau of Immigration arrested yesterday two Taiwanese fugitives wanted for serious crimes committed in their home country several years ago.
Immigration Commissioner Andrea Domingo identified the Taiwanese as Chung Chi Tang 65, and Huang Ching Lang, 41, both subjects of outstanding arrest warrants issued by courts in their country.
Immigration authorities at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport also barred a Chinese woman believed to be a courier of a human smuggling syndicate from leaving the country.
Domingo identified the alleged human trafficker as Sukling Sze, 52, who was escorting six Chinese minors with fake reentry and exit permits.
This was the second time that immigration agents arrested an alleged human trafficker in the past week. The first was a Taiwanese national who had five Chinese nationals from mainland China in tow when he arrived at the NAIA. Rey Arquiza
