Cop-victim arrests 2 robbers

Two suspected highway robbers were arrested after staging an early morning robbery of a mega taxi yesterday in Valenzuela City.
Roderick Baquilod, 24, and Arnold Palce, 21, both natives of Samar and residents of Upper Tibagan, Gen. T. De Leon, Valenzuela City were arrested by one of their victims, SPO1 Daniel Anado Nerida.
Police are now hunting down another suspect identified as Maning del Monte alias "Tigning," also of Upper Tibagan.
Investigation showed that the robbery occurred at around 6 a.m. along North Expressway in Barangay Gen. T. de Leon, Valenzuela City.
An Isuzu Hilander driven by one Joel Miayo, was reportedly cruising along North Diversion Road going to Cubao when three of its passengers announced a holdup.
The suspects alighted at North Expressway and fled with their loot.
Nerida, who was on the front seat, gave chase and was able to corner two of them with the aid of another policeman and barangay tanods along Sitio Kaingin, also in Barangay Gen. T. de Leon. – Pete Laude, Nikko Dizon
