Police filed multiple rape charges against two men for allegedly raping their 13-year-old mentally-ill girl on several occasions in Malabon City.
One of the suspects, identified as Tony Payawal of Barangay Tugatog, Malabon, was charged in absentia and is now the subject of a police manhunt.
No bail was recommended for Payawal’s alleged cohort, Rogelio Manacat, 45, married, of 127 Dulong Bronze St., Barangay Tugatog, Malabon.
According to case investigator PO1 Reynaldo Gabatin, the suspects had been raping the girl, an out-of-school-youth, inside their respective houses in April.
Payawal allegedly abused the girl Saturday afternoon. It was the last reported incident. The rape was discovered by the victim’s aunt identified as Lanie Oroso.
Manacat was arrested in his house early Sunday morning, but Payawal fled. Medico-legal findings revealed that the victim was indeed raped as shown by fresh lacerations in her sexual organ.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man is now fighting for his life after he was stabbed by his drinking buddies who accused him of being a police informant.
Authorities identified the victim as Narciso Solis, married, jobless, of Sitio 6, Catmon Dumpsite, Malabon. Police are now hot on the trail of suspects Rudy Bisugo, also of Catmon Dumpsite, and his three other cohorts.
Investigation showed that the incident happened at around 2:25 p.m. at the dumpsite while Solis and the suspects were drinking beer.
In the middle of their drinking spree, Bisugo allegedly accused Solis of being a police informant, which the latter denied.
Without warning, Bisugo pulled out a pointed weapon and the suspects took turns in stabbing the hapless Solis. They fled after the incident, leaving a bleeding Solis on the ground.
Police gathered that the suspects had been holding a grudge against the victim as they have long suspected their neighbor of tipping off police of illegal activities in the area. – Nikko Dizon
