Dubbed as "Clean-Up Drive in Manila", Unilever together with the Rotary Club of Manila, Philippine Coast Guard, and the Sagip Pasig Movement (SPM) mobilized hundreds of members of the Paco Public Market, Department of Public Services, Presidential Security Group, and members of the surrounding barangays.
Wearing "who Cares? We Do" t-shirts, a total of 500 volunteers actively participated in the clean up which involved cleaning the streets, declogging the sidewalk drainages, cleaning the esteros, and collection of garbage in many barangays along the stretch of UN Avenue.
The activity is part of the over-all "Clean River Zone" (CRZ) campaign of Unilever and the Rotary Club of Manila aimed at rehabilitating the Pasig River and its tributaries within Districts Five and Six in Manila.
Other CRZ projects held throughout the year are environment-related inter-school competitions and environment seminars for communities.
