Quezon City trader loses P1.5 M to Salisi Gang

-
A businessman the other day lost an estimated P1.5 million worth of valuables after a suspected member of the notorious Salisi Gang managed to let himself inside his house in Quezon City.

Investigation showed that Jason Ching, 36, married, of Barangay Sienna, Quezon City, left his house with his family at around 3 p.m. Friday. Their 19-year-old house helper, Noemie Cantomayor, was left alone in charge of the residence.

Police said that after the family left, an unidentified male arrived at the house and allegedly introduced himself to Cantomayor as a relative of the Chings.

The unsuspecting house helper let the man inside the house. A few minutes later, he gave Cantomayor P100 and asked her to buy him food at a nearby store.

Cantomayor obliged and left the suspect alone in the house.

When she came back, Cantomayor discovered the house ransacked and the suspect gone with his loot. – Nikko Dizon
