Sino trader abducts girlfriend?

-
Makati police are searching for a Filipino-Chinese businessman who allegedly abducted a 22-year-old woman in Barangay San Isidro last Sunday.

Investigators identified the suspect as Eduardo Go, 36, married, resident of Nakpil street in San Lorenzo Village, Makati City. Couple Bernardo and Susie Rodil lodged the complaint against Go who was said to have abducted their daughter Sharon Anne at around 5 p.m. the other day.

According to the couple, their daughter was forced into the car of Go somewhere in the vicinity of their residence at 1471-L Galvan St., Barangay San Isidro. Neighbors of the Rodils’ recounted the incident, claiming that Go was driving a brand new BMW sedan with a conduction sticker bearing the number 545.

The Rodils told investigators that they know Go as one of the people courting their daughter. However, police claimed that Sharon Anne and Go were already engaged in an affair prior to her abduction.

It was suspected that the victim may have been trying to end the relationship and as a result, forced her boyfriend to take drastic measures.

Meanwhile, a jobless man was arrested yesterday while trying to encash a P200,000 check he allegedly stole from his aunt in Pasig City, the police said.

The suspect, Roderick de la Cruz, of 8 San Bartolome St., Capitol Subdivision, Barangay Kapitolyo tampered with the original date of the check; but unknown to him bank employees were waiting for him after its real owner, Rosanna Manalo, 39, reported the theft. De la Cruz did not resist when police operatives led by SPO1 Braulio Basco arrested on him inside the China Bank Pasig Branch along Shaw Boulevard.

Manalo, executive secretary of Silver Horizon Trading, complained that her check was stolen last April 2. – Marvin Sy and Non Alquitran
