Another gas station robbed in Quezon City

-
Robbers struck anew at a gasoline station in Quezon City early yesterday morning, making off with some P4,000.

Operatives of the Quezon City police are investigating if the robbers were the same persons who pounced on another gasoline station in the city Thursday night where a security guard was killed.

Robbed was Petron gasoline station, owned by Orlie Viray and located along Tandang Sora Avenue, Banlat, Barangay Culiat, Quezon City.

Investigation showed that a blue Mitsubishi Adventure van arrived at the gasoline station at around 5:30 a.m. and the driver asked a gasoline boy to fill the vehicle’s gas tank with P500 worth of gasoline.

After seeing the tank already filled, four of the suspects got off the van and announced the heist. The robbers ordered all employees to lie face down as they scooped up all the cash from the cashier’s drawer.

The robbers fled towards Quirino Highway. Probers said they are looking into the possibility that the armed men that robbed the gasoline station belonged to the same group which struck at the Caltex gasoline station along Regalado Avenue, Novaliches also in Quezon City, last Thursday. – Cecille Suerte Felipe
