Western Police District Homicide Division investigators identified the victim as Koiche Nodado, 28, married, a native of Tacloban City and an employee of the Continental Security Agency.
According to Senior Police Officer 4 Athos De Quiros, investigator-on-case, the victim was seen by witnesses walk-up the second floor of the Jaime Cardinal Sin Building where he was stationed to conduct a routine check at around 4:45 a.m.
Minutes later, a shot rang out from the second floor. Witnesses then saw the victim lying in a pool of blood with his service caliber .38 revolver lying alongside.
Police said the bullet entered the victims left lower ear and exited at the top of his head. Homicide probers are looking at the possibility that the victim could have toyed with his revolver when it suddenly went off, killing him. Mike Frialde
