Senior Inspector Reynaldo Barral, Pasay City police Criminal Investigation Division chief, said the shabu was seized from a room at the sixth floor of the Somerset Place condominium located at the corner of Leveriza and Balagtas streets.
The condominium is owned by Filipino-Chinese businessman Emilio Ching, who is involved in real estate and owns several other condominiums in the city.
Barral led the raid on the building conducted by operatives of the CID at around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Barral said the raid was a result of a month-long intelligence work after they received a tip from National Police Commission Director Edmund Fernandez that a big amount of shabu was still being kept in the condominium.
It will be recalled that National Bureau of Investigation agents seized some 300 kilos of shabu from the same condominium last Dec. 26, That raid led to the arrest of a Chinese national tagged as a member of the Hong-Kong based 14-K Gang. Rainier Allan Ronda
