Woman, 3 men nabbed in shabu bust

-
Police arrested a woman alleged to be a notorious woman drug pusher and three other men during a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City shortly after noon Tuesday.

The operation was carried out by elements of the Caloocan City Bagong Barrio police sub-station-Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU).

Authorities identified the suspects as Emma Corda alias Emma de la Cruz and Thata, 39, married, jobless, Amante de la Cruz, 40, married, a jeepney driver, Emon de la Cruz, 17, single, jobless, and Antonio Aradillos, 40, married, also a jeepney driver. All are residents of Calaanan Compound in Barangay 86, Caloocan.

It has not been established, however, if Corda and the De la Cruzes are related. Police records show that Corda is an alleged notorious drug peddler in the area.

According to reports, a member of the DEU posed as a buyer and was able to purchase P200 worth of metamphetamine hydrochloride, popularly known as shabu, from Corda.

When the lawman tried to arrest her, she shoved him and ran towards a house in Calaanan Compound.

Pursuing operatives were able to arrest Corda inside the house and caught Aradillos and the De la Cruzes in the act of sniffing shabu.

Police were able to confiscate four pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing an undetermined amount of shabu and several drug paraphernalia.

The evidences have been brought to the NPD Crime Laboratory for qualitative examination. – Nikko Dizon
