Construction worker shot dead in QC

A construction worker was shot dead by a still unidentified suspect during a drinking session with his relatives in Quezon City early yesterday morning.
Victim Zaldy Bolante, 28, married, of Muñoz Street, corner Talanay, Fairview, Quezon City, died due to gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.
Investigation showed Bolante, together with his cousins Edgardo Garganta and Ramil Carmen, both residing at 2 Pangasinan Street, Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City were having a drinking session in front of Mercado store located at IBP Road corner Kagandahan Street, Barangay Batasan Hills when the unidentified male suspect arrived.
Police Officer 2 Joseph Diño, officer-on-case, said the suspect, without saying anything, suddenly shot Bolante repeatedly. Witnesses then saw the suspect immediately flee, bringing the weapon.
The victim was rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center but was pronounced dead on arrival. Pia Lee Brago
