Junkie clubs pa to death, injures ma

A 70-year-old man was killed while his wife is now in critical condition, after their own son, an alleged drug addict, allegedly clubbed them with a steel bar the other night in Caloocan City.
Apolonio Santos, of 123 Bayanihan Street, Libis, Baesa, Caloocan, sustained head and body injuries, and expired at the Manila Central University Hospital. His wife, Marcelina, 56, is still under observation.
Police arrested Norberto Santos, 37, who has reportedly been in and out of drug rehabilitation centers. The suspect is also an ex-convict, and is believed to have a serious mental disorder.
According to PO2 Alberto Eustaquio, officer-on-case, the incident occurred at about 11:30 p.m. inside the victims’ house in Baesa. – Matthew Estabillo
