An unidentified male with a decaying wound in the back was found dead under an overpass at the corner of Oliveros Drive and EDSA in Quezon City yesterday before dawn.
The lifeless body of the victim, described as 54 in height, fair complexioned and between 48 to 54 years old, was found by Jose Domingo, residing at 2 Oliveros Drive, Barangay Apolonio Samson, Quezon City under the overpass at around 5 a.m.
Police Officer 2 Edwin Dela Cruz, officer-on-case, said the victim was found lying on his back and worms were infesting the wound on the left upper part of the back of his body.
Investigation showed that the victim had been sleeping under the overpass for more than five months and that he could have been living there alone.
Police theorized that the victim died of an illness or natural cause but his cadaver was sent to the PNP Crime Laboratory for autopsy. Pia Lee-Brago
