Painter slain in Parañaque

A painter was mauled and stabbed to death by a gang of youngsters believed to be high on drugs in Parañaque City yesterday morning.
Elpidio Sumulat, 24, married, resident of 0919 Zone 12, Sucat, Muntinlupa City succumbed to two stab wounds while being taken to the Parañaque Medical Center.
His attackers, said to be members of a street gang of delinquent youths, fled after the incident.
Investigation conducted by Senior Police Officer 3 Odeo Cariño showed the incident took place at around 4:45 a.m. along the West Service Road near the Sucat Interchange in Sucat Parañaque.
Sumulat, along with buddies Genelle Balimores and Erwin Jumangay were walking on their way home from a night of carousing when they were attacked by the group of teenagers.
It was learned that the three were being mauled by the youngsters when one of them pulled out an ice pick and stabbed Sumulat twice in the chest. Rainier Allan Ronda
