Drug dependent hangs self in Valenzuela

A 39-year-old drug addict, besieged with money problems, hanged himself inside his house yesterday in Barangay Punturin, Valenzuela City.

Ramon San Roque, single, a resident of Faustino Street, Punturin, was found dead by his father inside his room at about 8 a.m.

Reports said the victim, a drug dependent, was having financial problems. His father also threatened to put him in a rehabilitation center if he continued his drug activities.

Meanwhile, a 23-year-old despondent husband shot himself in the head yesterday morning in Barangay Parada, Valenzuela.

The victim, Salvador Morado of Sta. Rita, Bocaue in Bulacan, sustained a bullet wound in his right temple.

According to police, the incident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. inside the house of one of the victim’s friends in Barangay Parada.

Morado, who recently lost his job, was lately feuding with his wife. He later went to his friend Lasin Qui for help, then suddenly shot himself inside the room. – Matthew Estabillo
