A 28-year-old housemaid from Sta. Mesa, Manila filed yesterday a complaint with the Western Police District against her abusive employers who allegedly mauled her and poured boiling water on her.
Housemaid Dory Palin, 28, native of Bondoc, Southern Leyte, told probers of the WPD Women and Childrens’ Desk that her employer Virgie Caluya and her husband Jun, of Guadalcanal St., Sta. Mesa frequently maltreated her.
Palin told police that she receives P1,500 monthly from the suspects and started working for them on Aug. 10, 1998. She told police that the suspects poured boiling water on her last month after the suspects accused her of making several long distance telephone calls to Cavite City. The suspects reportedly got mad when she denied the accusation.
