The suspect, a resident of Mangosteen Road, Portero whose identity is withheld for being a minor, is now detained at the Malabon police station.
Reports said the alleged rape happened at about 5 p.m. when the suspect forced himself inside the victims room and started touching the victims private parts.
Investigators said the suspect abused the victim, who awoke when he began touching her. The girl went into shock, but later began crying for help. The suspect later fled.
It was later in the evening that the victims parents learned of the incident when her mother noticed blood stains on the victims clothes.
When confronted, the victim revealed that she was raped.
Meanwhile, a 38-year-old man was also arrested for rape after a 10-year-old student confided to her classmates that she was repeatedly abused by her grandmothers helper in Caloocan City.
The suspect was identified as Marciano Valera, a resident of 162 Kabulasan II, Caloocan, is now detained at the citys police station and is facing charges of multiple statutory rape.
The victims teacher Marina Regenio of Benitez Elementary School, lodged a complaint against Valera after she learned of the victims ordeal through another pupil.
