The Philippine Star

CEBU, Philippines - Mandaue City officials and employees can each expect the release of their P10,000 yearend cash incentives anytime soon.

This after the Mandaue City Council on Wednesday approved an ordinance granting such incentives.

The ordinance, authored by Councilor Diosdado Suico, has allowed the city to release P10,000 each for city officials and employees with a salary bracket of P10,000 and above.

Those whose income is below P10,000 mark will get an incentive equivalent to their monthly wage.

"The incumbent city officials of Mandaue are forever more concerned for the welfare of all the public servants who have greatly contributed to the development and progress," read the newly approved ordinance.

The council said that based on the declaration of Budget Officer Ernesto Maringuran, some P10.8 million budget have been set aside from the "Other Personnel Benefits" for this year's  yearend benefits. — Liv G. Campo (FREEMAN)
