Manpower firm, home robbed in Talisay
CEBU, Philippines – Money intended for the salary of workers and for enrollment was robbed Friday dawn by unidentified perpetrator in an office at J and M Building in Barangay San Isidro, Talisay City.
Rhea Antonette Gallego, 45, married, resident of Peaceville Subdivision of Barangay San Isidro sought police assistance upon the discovery. She owns the burgled manpower firm.
Senior Police Officer 1 Yvonne Ilustrisimo, investigator of Talisay City Police Office, said the victim discovered that the cabinet and their drawer were forcibly opened.
The money allegedly carted away amounted to P180,000. Apart from the money, the robber also took earrings worth P5,000.
Ilustrisimo said that days prior the robbery, the victim noticed two male individuals taking pictures at their office.
Gallego's office has no CCTV camera installed that would have helped the police in their investigation. Police are still conducting follow-up operation regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, a 64-year-old painter was accused of stealing valuables in his employer's house in Azienda Lombardi Subdivision, Barangay Lawaan 3, Talisay City.
Christopher Semilla, 40, accused Mario Go, resident of Lapu-Lapu City, of stealing his two earrings worth P7,830; three gold rings worth P21,000 and ladies wallet with $100 bill.
Semilla alleged that last September 25, they left their house to Go when they decided to renovate the paintings of their house.
They said that since 2007, they have trusted Go on renovation works in the house.
Last October 3, when Semilla's wife arranged their things, she noticed that their valuables were missing. She then communicated Go and his companions but to no avail.
It was Allan Amion who told the victims that he saw Go allegedly carting away the missing items.
Police are investigating on the whereabouts of Go. (FREEMAN)
