Cortes delivers final report as mayor today

CEBU, Philippines – Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes is set to deliver his last State of the City Address this afternoon at the Mandaue City Sports Complex.

Mayor Cortes is expected to deliver an hour-long speech outlining the accomplishments of his administration for the past years.

According to Geneelou Nuñez, Mandaue’s strategy communications manager, Cortes will also be talking of the changes he introduced and implemented in the city.

“He will be talking about his accomplishments during his administration for the past nine years, the changes that he did, that he implemented, that he introduced for the City Hall and for the rest of the city,” Nuñez said.

Nuñez also said Cortes will be aided by a PowerPoint presentation during his SOCA.

She said the “general stakeholders,” including those from the private sector, are invited to hear the mayor’s last report.

Cebu Governor Hilario Davide and Cebu sixth district Representative Luigi Quisumbing were invited to attend the SOCA of Mayor Cortes.

Nuñez said all employees at the City Hall are also encouraged to attend the event.
