Exams for soldier applicants set for March 31
CEBU, Philippines - The 3rd Army Training Group is giving opportunity to young people who are willing to dedicate their lives in the service of the country by becoming part of the Philippine Army.
The qualified applicants could become an officer or a soldier, depending on his qualifications.
Those aiming to become an officer can apply for the Probationary Officer Training Course but they must be a college graduate and not more than 26 years old, single and without dependent.
Those who are interested to become a soldier can apply for Candidate Soldier's Course (CSC), must not be more than 29 years old and at least high school graduate or a graduate of any vocational course.
Lieutenant Colonel Alex Aduca, commander 3rd ATG, said the examinations for the POTC and CSC will be held this Saturday, March 21 in Camp Lapu-Lapu in Barangay Lahug.
In order to take the POTC exam, an applicant must bring an original NSO-authenticated birth certificate, transcript of records and college diploma.
Those who are interested to take the CSC should bring a high school card or Form 137, high school diploma and a valid identification card.
Captain Zaldy Pedregosa, chief of operation of 3rd ATG, said the qualified applicants will be assured of a promising career but they will also be given an opportunity of serving the country.
Apart from it, he said a soldier will be able to explore more of the country being assigned to different places anytime.
But he said an applicant should be trustworthy, self-confident and could adapt to any situation to be given to them during the training.
