Man killed in shooting

CEBU, Philippines – A 33-year-old man was killed by yet unknown assailant in a shooting alarm yesterday evening in Barangay Danglag, Consolacion town.

The victim was identified as Randy Entaligando Lacio, 33, a resident of the place.

According to Senior Police Officer 3 Renerio Patillas of Consolacion Police Station, the victim was standing outside his house when an unknown person suddenly appeared and, without apparent reason, fired at him.

Lacio died on the spot.

After the incident, the suspect fled from the scene, police said.

Police recovered 12 empty shells of caliber .45 pistol and a slug from the crime scene.

Patillas said follow-up investigation is still conducted to identify the suspect and his motive in shooting Lacio.
