Lotto outlet robbed
CEBU, Philippines - A lotto outlet in Barangay Poblacion Oriental, Consolacion town was burglarized yesterday morning.
An inventory showed that the unidentified suspects carted away the establishment's P4,980 earnings and an Ipad worth P2,000.
Police Officer 1 Michael Villardar of the Consolacion Police Station said Gina Broa, 41, the sister of the lotto outlet's owner, was supposed to open the establishment at around 7 a.m. yesterday when she discovered that its doorknob was already destroyed.
It was learned that the establishment has no CCTV camera. However, police were able to recover a green bull cap at the crime scene.
Villardar said the suspect might have left it when he was in a hurry to leave.
Meanwhile, a security guard was arrested after he was caught allegedly stealing a car aircon compressor worth P12,000 at around past 11 p.m. last Wednesday.
The suspect was identified as Ranilo Binaraw, 35, an outgoing security guard at CSK Trading in Sitio Sto. Niño in Barangay Basak, Mandaue City.
He was reportedly caught by his fellow guard Clyde Loius Auman, who arrested him after the latter inspected his bag and saw the car aircon compressor inside it.
The suspect is now detained at Basak Police Station. (FREEMAN)
