Notorious 'pusher' falls
CEBU, Philippines - A notorious drug pusher was arrested by the police after a buy-bust operation was conducted against him last Thursday afternoon in Sitio UTB in Barangay Looc, Mandaue City.
Hernani Villasan, 44, married and a resident of the said place, was arrested by operatives of the Opao Police Station after a buy-bust operation was conducted in his residence at around 3:30 p.m.
Police Officer 3 Bryan Berenguer said Villasan was arrested after a concerned citizen called up the police station saying that the suspect was allegedly selling illegal drugs that day.
Berenguer said they already knew that Villasan is a drug peddler in the area because his other cohorts were already arrested by the police and they were the ones who divulged of his involvement in the illegal drugs.
The suspect was arrested after Police Officer 1 Michael Mata transacted with the suspect wherein he handed P300 marked money in exchange of two small packs of suspected shabu.
Upon his arrest, a body frisking was also conducted wherein the police were also able to seize additional two medium packs and another 10 small packs of illegal drugs from his possession.
The suspect was immediately brought to the Opao Police Station for detention pending the filing of violations of Sections 5 and 11 of the RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. — Flor Z. Perolina (FREEMAN)
