2 arrested in drug raid

CEBU, Philippines - Two persons were arrested by the operatives of the Casuntingan Police Station during a raid they conducted at around 7:50 p.m. last Friday in  Sitio Marfa in Barangay Bakilid, Mandaue City.

Armed with a search warrant signed by Judge Teresita Abarquez-Galanida of the RTC 7 Branch 56, operatives of the Casuntingan Police led by their station chief Police Senior Inspector Philip Salva raided the residence of  Winston Heyrosa,41 ,single and subject of the said search warrant.

During the raid, police were able to seize eight small packs of shabu, 10 tin foils with traces of shabu drug paraphernalia and P200 cash money inside his house.

Aside from Heyrosa, a certain Angleie Noynay, 24 ,single of Barangay Labogon, Mandaue City was also arrested during the raid for visiting the drug den of Heyrosa.

Both suspects were immediately brought to the Casuntingan Police Station for detention

pending the filing of  charges for Violation of Art II Section 11 (possession of illegal drugs), Art II Section 12 (possession of illegal drugs paraphernalia) & Art II Section 6 (maintenance of drug den) Republic Act 9165 against  Heyrosa and Violation of Art II Sec 7 (visiting drug den) Republic Act  9165 against Noynay.  (FREEMAN)
