METROPOLICE: BPO worker, others robbed
CEBU, Philippines - A 27-year-old business process outsourcing worker or call center agent lost her cash and other personal belongings after she and her three co-passengers were held up Friday dawn along the national highway in Barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City.
Lovely Perales of Barangay Poblacion, Compostela rushed to Basak Police Station to report that while she was on board a PUJ from Compostela town, approaching a TV station complex in Barangay Jagobiao, the suspect, in his early 20s, flagged down the vehicle and immediately announced the hold-up.
The suspect then aimed a .357 caliber pistol at them and then took her bag which contained cellular phone, cash and other personal belongings.
The suspect also divested her co-passengers' personal belongings, cash and jewelry and then disembarked from the PUJ and boarded a motorcycle that had been following them.
Perales said she immediately boarded another PUJ to report the incident to the police station which is just a few meters away from the place where the incident happened.
Police, however, failed to arrest suspects in a response. — (FREEMAN)
