Woman shot thrice, robbed
CEBU, Philippines - A woman was shot on her right cheek when she disembarked from a taxi and was robbed Wednesday afternoon at Gochoco Compound in Barangay, Alang-alang, Mandaue City.
Maria Theresa Ouano, 47, married, of Barangay Canduman was rushed to Mandaue City Hospital and was later transferred to Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu City after she was hit in her right cheek when she was shot thrice by two men on board a motorcycle past 1 p.m. that day.
The victim fell on the road after she was hit by the bullets in her right cheek.
One of the suspects then took her bag which contained her ATM, cash and documents before they hurriedly left the place.
Police also recovered three empty bullets of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.
During police investigation, it was learned there was a CCTV camera near the premises of the compound and the incident was recorded. However, the suspect's faces were blurry and the motorcycle's plate number was not clear.
Police are still conducting a follow investigation with regard to the identity of the suspects. (FREEMAN)
