CEBU, Philippines - A man with several gunshot wounds was found lifeless in a secluded place in Barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu city yesterday dawn.

The victim was identified as Jessie Sollano, a resident of Sitio Saint Joseph, Barangay Marigondon.

Police investigation revealed that at 2:30 a.m. last Black Saturday, a certain Fredierick Edaño and two other barangay tanods were roving the barangay when they heard loud burst which they at first thought coming from firecrackers.

At around 5:30 in the morning yesterday, somebody reported to Edaño's group about a dead person from where they thought they heard the burst earlier. It was then confirmed that what they heard were gunshots.

They immediately responded to the alarm and called police for assistance.

At the crime scene, the victim was seen bathing in his own blood.

According to the neighbors, the victim was allegedly involved in theft and robbery cases. He was also last seen by neighbors last Friday evening with two unidentified companions.  (FREEMAN)
