Suspected drug pusher nabbed in Talisay

CEBU, Philippines - A 27-year-old alleged drug pusher is being detained in Talisay City detention cell after  being arrested during the aggressive patrolling by the police last Wednesday evening in Sitio Tunga, Barangay Tanke.

The suspect was identified as Jomar Pantallana, resident of the place and from whose possession  the police allegedly recovered six triangular sachets of shabu.

Inspector Rogene Fudotan with SPO1 Edgar Causon, SPO1 Benjamin Sebellita, SPO1 Isaias Cabuenas and PO2 Esmer Gahi arrested the suspect.

Causon told The Freeman yesterday that they received a report regarding illegal gambling in the place, but when they arrived they saw Pantallana immediately rush inside their house.

According to Causon, they saw Pantallana throw something in the garbage bin and when they pursued, it is was allegedly illegal drugs. The police immediately collared the suspect and brought him to the police station.

Causon added that they are scheduled to press charges against Pantallana before the city prosecutor’s office today once crime lab results become available.  (FREEMAN)
