SM’s Save More to open in Carcar

CEBU, Philippines - The opening of a giant grocery store affiliated with the SM Food Retail Group will open in Barangay Poblacion 1 in Carcar City this June.

Save More operations manager Allan Flores, in a courtesy call recently to Mayor Apura, has promised the mayor that 80 percent of its workers will be city residents. 

Mayor Nicepuro Apura said the Save More Market branch will rise from a 3,500 square-meter property. 

Flores has also promised to seek local suppliers for vegetables and other local delicacies such as chicharon and lechon.

“I’m very happy of their presence here in our city. This is a good indication of progress and it will surely help the lives of the Carcaranons,” Apura said. 

Save More is widely known as a complete one-stop shop.

Aside from the grocery, it will have a pharmacy, money changer, bakeshop, wine & liquor, and a bills payment center.

It will also have an exclusive lane for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. — (FREEMAN)
