Mystery woman living at barangay hall in Tabunok

CEBU, Philippines - A woman who is six-months pregnant and believed to be unable to hear and speak has been staying at the Tabunok Barangay Hall since January 17 after two women who had given shelter to her for a while turned her to village watchmen.

The women said when they saw her “texting” they began to entertain suspicions she was a thief and was in cahoots with other thieves.

But the watchmen said the only number on her directory is her own phone number.

Until now the tanods have yet to establish her identity because she is allegedly illiterate.

A midwife has confirmed she is pregnant.

Barangay officials theorize the woman must have ran away from home considering that she has with her a pail and belongings. (FREEMAN)
