Gov. Davide lauds Compostela officials
CEBU, Philippines - Governor Hilario Davide III yesterday lauded Compostela officials for introducing change as the town marked its 95th founding anniversary.
“Akong ipasalig sa atong mga opisyales sa lungsod sa Compostela, ilabi na gayud ni Mayor Joel Quiño nga ang probinsya sa Sugbo kanunay gayud nga magpaluyo sa inyong mga kalihukan aron mulambo pa pag-ayo ang lungsod,†Davide said.
Davide praised the town’s various programs and expressed gratitude to the Reynes family who donated the property where the municipal hall now stands.
Vice Governor Agnes Magpale, on the other hand, said the ongoing renovation of the municipal hall building and the clean-up environment make the town beautiful.
“Kaniadto muagi ko dinhi makakita ko ug mga dahon nga nagpasad lang diha sa atubangan,†Magpale said.
Mayor Quiño, on the other hand, said the town is now ready to welcome new investors.
Quiño said there is peace and order in the town, the basic requirement in building confidence in would-be investors.
“Andam na ug nagsugod ang kalambuan sa lungsod sa Compostela,†Quiño said. (FREEMAN)
