Alleged drug pusher killed
CEBU, Philippines - An alleged drug pusher was declared dead upon arrival at a hospital after being shot several times by men on a motorcycle yesterday dawn in Barangay Pulpogan, Consolacion town.
Carlo Guinaldo, of Barangay Lumbang, Consolacion was taken to Eversley Hospital in Barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City.
Police said Guinaldo was waiting for someone at 3 a.m. that day when shot.
He was found sprawled on the ground.
Police said Guinaldo had a pending case for peddling drugs.
Last Thursday afternoon, the police arrested two women after getting caught in the act selling shabu in Barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City.
Arrested by the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (CAIDSOTG) headed by PS Insp. Rogelio Pineda Jr. were Adjet Canencia, 33, married, of Valencia, Carcar but residing in Sitio Soong in Barangay Mactan and Genevie Dichos, 33, single, of Humay-Humay Sangi, Barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City.
Seized from Canencia were suspected shabu, aluminum foils, a disposable lighter, and a loaded .45 caliber pistol.
The police seized a loaded .357 revolver from Dichos.
Both suspects are being detained at the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office pending the filing of charges against them. (FREEMAN)
