Boy, 15, killed in road mishap

CEBU, Philippines - A passenger bus ran over a 15-year-old boy as he crossed a street in barangay Lawaan II, Talisay City Friday evening.

Charlo Balajada, of barangay Biasong, Talisay City sustained severe injuries.

Driver Arnold Nicor Samillon, 34, of barangay Cantumog, Carmen town is presently detained at the Talisay City detention cell, SPO1 Nestor Canlobo said.

Balajada did not reach the Talisay City District Hospital alive.

Talisay City Traffic chief Inspector Rogene Fodutan told The Freeman that the bus ran over the boy’s head.

Fodutan said the driver did not immediately come down from the bus for fear of his life.

Fodutan said Samillon will face a reckless imprudence resulting to homicide case.  (FREEMAN)
