Jose P. Sollano - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines -  The Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry opened Monday "Christmas Bazaar," which has been put up in front of the city hall. It showcases products made by urban poor organizations and women's groups using recycled materials.

Displayed at the bazaar are bags made from newspapers and magazines, food, and others.

Marlene Gatpatan-Bedia, executive director of the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) said the proceeds from the bazaar will be used for the beautification of the Mandaue Bridge Park.

The promotion of these recycled materials is in line with the program of Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes. (FREEMAN)
