3 Koreans car dispatcher hurt in brawl
CEBU, Philippines - Three Korean nationals and a car dispatcher were injured after figuring in a brawl in Barangay Luz, Cebu City late Wednesday afternoon.
Hur Song Ho, 42, was stabbed in the abdomen while his companions Choi Jong Kim, 46, and Kim Geun Ho, 37, sustained bruises and grazed wounds. Rizalino Agang, 35, fractured his hand.
The police are now looking for Agang’s brother, Noel, 28, who escaped after stabbing Ho.
PO1 Reoful Adalim of Homicide Section said the Koreans, who were apparently drunk, got out of a restaurant and waited for a taxicab.
The three then called on Rizalino, who was dispatching cars in the area, to tell the driver of a jeepney allegedly blocking the road to move forward so the passing taxicabs could see them.
“So niduol ang dispatcher sa tag-iya sa jeep ug iyang gipaatras, nagtuo ang Koreano na sila ang gipaatras. Ana ang Koreano, ‘me?’ ana sad ang dispatcher na, ‘no, no.’ Unya kay nainit na man silang duha, hubog sad tong mga Koreano, barag-barag na’g mga nilakwan,†Adalim said.
The foreigners reportedly mauled Rizalino, who, knowing that he was overpowered ran towards his house. The Koreans chased him and Ho reportedly broke his right arm.
Rizalino’s neighbors, about 30 of them, came into the dispatcher’s rescue and attacked the Koreans.
Delfin Ventura, a barangay tanod, tried to pacify the group and it was at this point that Noel sneaked from behind and stabbed Ho on the left side of his body before fleeing.
Ho was confined at the Cebu Doctors’ Hospital while Rizalino was taken to a different hospital in the city.
“Nagpaabot mi nila sa opisina, pwede sila magkinihaay,†Adalim said. (FREEMAN)
