Ex-convict shot dead

CEBU, Philippines -  An ex-convict was shot dead Thursday night in sitio San Roque, barangay Carreta, Cebu City.

Killed was Socrates Garcia, 44, a resident of barangay Hipodromo.

Garcia was convicted for his involvement in illegal drugs, the Homicide Section said.

Homicide said Garcia was at the home of one Luzviminda Adiva when a man arrived and shot him once in the back of his head.

After the shooting, the gunman, who wore a black helmet and black jacket, fled on a motorcycle, Adiva said.

Chief Insp. Wildemar Tiu, chief of Waterfront Police Station said  policemen failed to catch the killer. (FREEMAN)
